Sunekos®

Sunekos® is a patented injectable treatment that contains a combination of hyaluronic acid and 6 amino acids that focuses on the extracellular matrix (ECM) of the skin cells providing total skin regeneration.

What is Sunekos®?

Sunekos® is a combination product that has been proven to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin which will result in improved skin texture, skin tone and at the same time even out lines and wrinkles. It is a safe treatment due to its characteristic in formulation. Sunekos® is also vegan friendly!

There are two protocol guidelines:

Sunekos® 200
Sunekos® 200 + 1200

1. Protocol one – Sunekos® 200 standard protocol

  • 4 separate treatment sessions at 7-10 days apart.
  • 1-2 maintenance treatments at 6 months.
  • Optional –for a holistic approach, add Nutrakos drinkable for daily support.

Suitable for the younger skin and can also have a lifting effect. This protocol is also suitable to treat around the eyes such as for dark circles and bags, fine lines or ‘crows’ feet.

Effective as a treatment for forehead lines, neck and décolletage areas.

2.  Protocol two – Sunekos® 1200 protocol

  • 4 separate treatment sessions at 7-10 days apart. Same as above but with the additional product of the 1200 at the first treatment session.
  • 1-2 maintenance treatments at 6 months.
  • Optional –for a holistic approach, add Nutrakos drinkable for daily support.

Suitable for the mature skin (generally over 45) and for slender and have sunken skin. It is effective for improving the appearance of severe wrinkles and sagging skin mainly caused by loss of volume.

For the cheeks and hands this is an ideal treatment protocol.

Both treatments treat and prevent skin ageing, reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles and expression lines, restore skin elasticity and replenish volume in a natural way.

As Sunekos® is a versatile treatment and can be injected to many different areas, the above protocols are guidelines and may be varied slightly to accommodate this.

How does it work?

The treatment offers total skin regeneration by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin and at the same time providing deep hydration to the skin. There are two main components to Sunekos® which are hyaluronic acid and amino acids. The Sunekos® 1200 has a higher molecular weight of hyaluronic acid than the Sunekos® 200 so it gives a scaffolding effect when delivered deeper into the dermis. The Sunekos® 1200 also includes an antioxidant booster.

The hyaluronic acid binds with water so that nutrients can get the skin cells and hydrates the skin. The amino acids are a group of proteins that stimulate the production of collagen.

This results in the reduction in the appearance of expression lines, fine to severe wrinkles and restores loss of volume. In addition to that the skin’s integrity improves and appears brighter, firmer and smoother.

Although there is an immediate noticeable result, the treatment continues to work over the next few weeks to months. The treatment is therefore progressive giving a lovely natural youthful result.

Which areas can be treated?

This treatment is effective for the treatment of the face, neck, décolletage and hands.

What to expect when having treatment

This treatment is not painful to have done but some may find it a little stingy. If preferred, local anaesthetic cream can be applied to numb the areas where treatment will be carried out.

The treatment consists of several very small injections and the downtime after this treatment is very minimal.

Generally, treatment is given over 4 sessions at 7-10 days apart which is necessary to optimise results. These can be planned at the time of booking. A review appointment is offered at 8 weeks after the last treatment.

Results can last for about 6 months but this can vary from person to person, it is therefore recommended in order to maintain a great result, to have further treatments in 6 months. It may be possible to have just 1-2 treatments at this time.

For the treatment around the eyes, hands and forehead, the time between treatments is 14 days.

Immediately following treatment, you may experience symptoms of stinging, discomfort, slight swelling and erythema (redness) which should disappear after a few hours.

You may experience some bruising; these should resolve soon.

Following your treatment:

  • Advice sheet
  • There is no need to massage treated areas. Leave the areas alone and the solution injected will integrate with your skin tissue.
  • Wash using a gentle cleanser and pat dry with a clean towel.
  • Try to avoid intense heat and saunas for at least two weeks post treatment.
  • Avoid exposure to direct sunlight until any redness and swelling have subsided.
  • Wash hands before touching injection sites to prevent infection.
  • Avoid taking anti-inflammatory drugs, alcohol, supplements for a few days to reduce the risk of bruising.
