LED Light Therapy
The SF LED mask features light wave lengths that offer an effective skin rejuvenating treatment to the face and neck. Light therapy has a multitude of functions depending on the colour wave length required. It can be beneficial for anti-ageing, anti-inflammatory, acne prone skin and the stimulation of healthy skin cells along with the formation of collagen.
What is LED light therapy?
The SF LED mask uses 192 LED (light emitting diodes) lights. The therapy is also known as low level light therapy and these lights have the ability to stimulate the facial skin cells to start a number of rejuvenating processes.
It is perfectly safe as there is no harmful heat or radiations from the LED that will damage the skin. Due to this safety aspect there is no downtime or side effects.
The galvanic mode offers skin rejuvenation via an electric current of positive and negative ions to refresh and stimulate the skin. There is no discomfort with this mode of treatment.

How does it work?
The SF LED mask has been specifically designed to provide you with the optimum results by emitting the right combination of LED light wavelengths for a controlled amount of time. There are three different colour wavelengths that are clinically proven to benefit skin rejuvenation and aid recovery following treatment.
The colours that are used include red (infra-red), blue and purple. The infra-red is invisible to the naked eye and penetrates deeper into the skin and all colour modes utilise the infra-red wavelength.
The LED wavelengths stimulate the production of collagen but they also have the ability to slow down the enzyme responsible for breaking that collagen down during the ageing process. Results show an increase in skin cell production giving a refreshed and clearer complexion.
LED light therapy is a relaxing treatment in itself or following another treatment. It is non-invasive and painless.
The galvanic mode can be incorporated with the LED light therapy treatment which uses galvanic currents to enhance the results further.

What to expect when having a treatment
The SF LED mask can be used as a stand-alone or following another treatment such as micro-needling or a chemical peel.
The LED light therapy takes about 20 minutes to receive the optimum benefit. There is no downtime but it is recommended as with following any treatment to use a good SPF for UVA and UVB protection. This will help maintain the effect the treatment has given.
A course of treatments can be taken and is recommended for the treatment of acne, anti-ageing and skin rejuvenation. This involves having a LED light treatment 2-3 times a week for about 4 weeks but depends on the indication for the treatment and response to it.
